Cameras were active Friday afternoon when 17-year-old Casey Mae Goff was crowned as the 2016 Vilonia High School Homecoming Queen.
She is the daughter of Robert and Sally Goff. An overcast sky, the crowning was held on the school’s football field. The bleachers were full of fans. Casey Mae had many relatives including her parents in attendance.
The senior attendants included Alex Mattison, 17, daughter of Jullia and Greg Willey and Kurt Mattison. Also, Kassie Williams, 17, daughter of Lori and Matt Williams.
The junior attendants were Macy McKissack, 16, daughter of Martin and Kelly McKissack and Ally Swaim, 17, daughter of Audy and Angie Swaim.
Sophomore attendants included Hannah Gordon, 15, daughter of Melanie and Stanley Gordon, Jr. and Kristen Madden, 16, daughter of Kim and Andy Wilson and Keith Madden.
Also, during the afternoon event, Matt Sewell, high school principal, presented Pam Fulmer, teacher and homecoming sponsor, with red roses. He announced that she will be retiring at the end of the school year with 34 years of service to the district. It was said that she was also Robert Goff’s teacher.
