VPS celebrated Red Ribbon Week, last week, with lots of spirit
Red Ribbon Week is a nationally-recognized week in which we celebrate the acts of making positive choices and being drug-free. Since its beginning in 1985, the Red Ribbon Week Campaign has touched the lives of millions of people around the world. Our nation celebrates Red Ribbon Week to educate youth and encourage participation in drug-free activities. In 2016, Red Ribbon Week was celebrated during the week of October 24-28. Vilonia Primary School students and staff showed-off their Red Ribbon Week pride every day.
Monday, October 24th: Being Drug-Free "Rocks" at the Sock Hop!
Back to the 1950's Day! Students and staff wore 50's clothing to celebrate being drug-free and the 50th day of school!
uesday, October 25th: Real "Heroes" are Drug-Free!
Students and staff dressed in camoflauge, patriotic, or super hero clothing!
Wednesday, October 26th: "Team Up" Against Drugs and "Stay in the Game"!
Students and staff were asked to wear their favorite college or professional team jersey or shirt!
Thursday, October 27th: "Stomp Out" Drugs!
Students and staff wore mismatched shoes and mismatched socks!
Friday, October 28th: We are "HAPPY" to be Drug- Free!
Emoji day! Students and staff dressed as their favorite emojis and even brought emojis to school!
