East Lab students helping Mother Nature with planting trees

A recent EAST Lab project, Vilonia High School students Logan Bass, Alex Parker and Joseph Palmer realized a lack of trees in the city due to the tornado. They contacted the Arkansas Forestry Commission and Allin Crawford, manager of the Vilonia Parks and Recreation . Allison Litchy from the Forestry Commission donated five trees including three tulip poplars and two swamp oak trees. Crawford helped plant the trees Friday, Sept. 30,  at the new baseball complex. The students have been checking on them daily to make sure they remain stabilized.
