Cheerleading, band playing, a student speaker and shooting hoops was on tap at an eighth grade pep rally, Tuesday, at VMS.
With teachers, coaches and staff in the background, Judy Cox, cheerleading coach led the event, which marked the last game of the season. The band, football players as well as other eight graders sat in the VMS gymnasium bleachers.
Paying $1 per chance, five students had the opportunity to shoot a basketball from half court. Had a student made the shot, that student would have taken home the prize. Since no student made the shot without missing, the money was donated to the Bella fund.
