Unified Student Team take down the Eagle Educators in Hoops game

Teachers and students were fired up, Tuesday night, for the Vilonia Epic Eagles Hoops Classic 2016.  

The game was played with the Electrifying Eagle Educators, under the direction of Head Coach Matt “Sink It In” Sewell, going against the Superb Soaring Eagles Unified Student Team.

The MC for the evening was Coach “Rapper” Clark. Officiating the game was Tim “No Bull” Bullington. Medical care was provided by “Super Nurse” Sisson.

In the stand, the “Amazing Vilonia Band” played under the direction of the “Fabulous” Philip Nichols. 

The Star-Spangled Banner was performed by Skyler “Melodious” McNew.  There were some special presentations as well. Monty McMahan, former Vilonia High School principal, presented an award to athletic director Ed Sellers. The Volleyball Girls received a Dance Battle Award. The Super Fan Award went to student Gene Sax. The Reed family of Mr. Good Gasket, received the Super Sponsor Award.

At the end of the game, Mr. Sellers presented the Hoops Classic Trophy to the game winners—the unified student team. The final score was 31 to 43.

Also, the entry fee of a donation of food products or money will be used to support Vilonia’s Transition/Life Skills classes.
