NO students are allowed to walk to the Jr. High for ANY reason.
Area 17 Special Olympics Polar Plunge Dessert Auction
Would you or your school group be interested in making some baked goods for the Area 17 Special Olympics Polar Plunge Dessert Auction? All the funds raised from the Polar Plunge and Dessert Auction benefit Special Olympics Arkansas. The plunge/auction is February 13, 2016, at Wolly Hollow State Park. Talk with B.Chambers atVHS, D. Young at VFA, J. Noel at VMS, B. Norwood at FMI, and C. Reed at VES if you would like to plunge or make desserts.
Time is running out! The last day to guarantee your copy of this year's yearbook is February 16. You can pay online at jostensyearbooks.com or bring $30 to Mrs. Dow. If you want your name stamped on your book, bring $35. Checks should be made to VMS.
♥♥The yearbook staff is selling Valentine Grams. For only $1 you can send your friends or your sweetie pie a sweet message and it comes with candy, too. Grams will be delivered to 5th period on February 12. See any teacher or yearbook staff to purchase.♥♥
8th GRADERS ONLY: The VMS-8th grade cheerleaders are selling a chance to win $$$ at the pep rally. For $1, you can sign up for a chance to make a half court shot during the pep rally. We will sell tickets, then draw 10 names at the pep rally. The person who makes the shot takes the $$$. Teachers, staff, and 8th grade students are invited to see a cheerleader and purchase a chance.
8th GRADE RED OUT pep rally will be Feb. 4th at 11:50 until 12:10 at the VMS Gym.
D-Hall will now be held in Mr. Riggins classroom #323 in the 8th grade hall, just down from Mrs. Ingle's classroom.
Track season is approaching for 7th grade students. If you are a 7th grade student interested in going out for the track team, be prepared to start on Monday, Feb. 8. If you haven't had a physical, you must have one before you can participate. Sign-ups will be in your 2nd period athletic class on Feb. 8.
Starting Monday, February 8th track students will need to ride their normal bus to the Freshman Academy. Each student will need one note signed by the office for their driver to keep. If you do not have a regular bus, please see Mr. Partee on the day of practice.
