VMS teams bring home third place in Engineering Olympics...

Seventh and eighth grade students representing Vilonia Middle School, chaperoned by Chandra Otts and Glenn McKay, attended UALR's Engineering Olympics, Saturday, Feb.  27, bringing home third place.                                                                                                                          The students who participated included seventh graders: Cordell Palmer, David Adams, Mason Atkins, Shelby Duncan, Laynie White and Gabe Goodwin. Eighth graders: Bryn Westby, Laci McKay, Leighton Taylor, Charlie Moody, Colin Ratliff, Sky Walker, Chance Gilchrist and Emily Norwood.

They participated in 3 different competitions as Vilonia Middle School Teams 1 and 2. There were 20 teams from around the state and congratulations to Vilonia Team 1 for winning 3rd place overall.

Here are the individual results. Points were given for 1st through 6th place for the overall competition scoring.
