Fall 2016 Textbook Scholarships

  • Awards: All Fall 2016 Books Paid

  • Who is eligible: Incoming freshman at UCA, CBC, & UACCM

  • Visit www.conwaybooks.com and click on the Fall 2016 Scholarships tab.  Complete the online form.  Winners will be contacted by 05/06/2016 by phone, email, & congratulated on social media sites.  

Arkansas Post of the Society of American Military Engineers Scholarships

  • DEADLINE – April 8 , 2016

  • A minimum of two $2,000 scholarships; preference will be given to students

who have previously attended/completed one of the SAME Engineering camps.

  • What to do: pick up an application packet in the counselor’s office, submit a

letter of recommendation from a math or science teacher, submit a 200 word essay explaining why the student wishes to study architecture or construction-related engineering and why receiving this scholarship is critical to achieving their continuing education goals, and a transcript.

Mass Group Marketing and the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators

  • DEADLINE: April 15

  • For twenty-two years, Mass Group Marketing (American Public Life) of Plano, Texas and the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators have awarded a  $1,000 scholarship to a son or daughter of an AAEA  member. John Beesley, Chief Executive Officer of Mass Group Marketing, established the scholarship in honor of Dr. C. B. Garrison, former Superintendent of the Fort Smith Public Schools.

  • The selection is based on academic excellence, leadership in school activities, work experiences and community service. To access a form that can be completed in Microsoft Word and then printed, please click here.

  • The completed application  must be signed by the high school principal or an appropriate school official and  returned no later than April 15, 2016 to the AAEA c/o Garrison Scholarship, 219 South Victory, Little Rock, AR  72201. A panel of AAEA members will judge the applicants and select a winner. Mass Group Marketing will  send a $1,000 check to the college or university the winner will attend.

Native American Scholarship Award

  • DEADLINE: April 15

  • Awards: $500

  • Criteria: Must be of documentable Native American descent from a federally recognized tribe.  The documentation required is a CDIB card or tribal enrollment documentation from a Federal recognized tribe.  A copy must be furnished with the application.

El Paso Masonic Lodge #65 Scholarship

  • DEADLINE: April, 15

  • The El Paso Masonic Lodge will be awarding $1,000 to a student going to college or pursuing a technical certification.

Arkansas Society of Professional Engineers - Central Chapter

  • DEADLINE: May 13, 2016

  • Awards:  $1,000

  • Eligibility requirements: High school senior, have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, a minimum SAT of 500 math and 450 verbal or ACT of 25 math and 23 English, and intend to earn a degree in engineering and attend an ABET accredited university.

Buster Bynum Education Scholarship

  • DEADLINE: May 13, 2016

  • Awards: $2,500

  • Eligibility: Parent/guardian has been an active employee in public school transportation during the “past three years”.  Parent/guardian had a gross taxable family income equal to or less than $75,000 for each of the “past three tax years”.  Must have at least a 3.0 GPA.

  • DEADLINE: June 1, 2016

  • Criteria: Graduating senior interested in construction or related fields (engineering, architecture, etc.)
