Cheer

The seventh grade cheerleading program will be open to all seventh grade students interested in the cheer program. It will be an exploratory class that allows students to learn about school spirit, sportsmanship and Eagle pride. Students will learn basic cheer skills, safety, and conditioning.
The VMS cheerleaders will cheer at home football game and basketball games. Students will learn basic cheers and dances in a physical education class during the school day. The school district will provide uniforms and bows. The students must provide boy-cut briefs, white shoes, socks, black long sleeve undershirt and black leggings/pants for cold weather.
Students who participate to cheer are required to have a current physical, please bring it the first day of class. If you had a physical with the school in April, it will be on file. Seventh grade students in the Introduction to Cheer program will be allowed to participate by season, football and basketball. Students must choose one sport per season.
*First day of classes we will meet in the gym during P.E., students will choose to tryout for volleyball, participate in football, cheer, or do P.E. Cheerleaders must follow AAA safety rules, a current physical must be on file to participate, practice, or perform.
