VHS Beta Club makes an enthusiastic appearance at state convention....

Sponsors Cara Cromwell and Mrs. Jones accompanied a group of 45 VHS students to Hot Springs, last weekend, for the state Beta Convention. The students participated in academic competitions and campaigned for junior Andrea Stitt, who ran for a state office.

The students represented our school with enthusiasm and class, Mrs. Cromwell said. The following students won academic competitions: Noah Myers 1st Spelling, Braden Westby 2nd in Math, and Wyatt Milikin 3rd in Agriculture.

While Andrea didn't win her office, Mrs. Cromwell said, she delivered a perfect campaign speech in front of 2,600 students and she represented VHS with confidence and grace.
