Middle Show--High School Country Show 2016 delivers ...

Jeans, cowboy hats, belt buckles, boots, country music and a little boot scootin’ as well as some clogging was the scene at the Middle School-High School Country Show 2016 held in the VES gymnasium.

Students showcased their voices in solos as well as sung as groups. There was country/western music, gospel music and humorous skits. All students received raving reviews and rounds of applause from the audience. In addition, VHS student Allie Shock received a standing ovation after her performance of “How Great Thou Art.”

Some wiped tears as Alli Shock and Shannon Reifowitz also sang “Dance,” dedicating it to VHS senior Sarah Gwatney who is hospitalized due to an automobile accident that happened last week.

“Our best friend is in ICU,” Reifowitz said. “She is recovering. She is also an inspiration and a blessing to everyone she meets.”

The show ended on a high note with the audition joining the whole cast on the chorus of “Pfft? You Wuz Gone.” All was under the direction of Mr. McBee.
