VHS prom information released

Prom will be from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., April 1, at the Vilonia High School cafeteria. You must have paid your class dues in order to purchase a ticket. Prom tickets will be sold on March 15, and 16, in the gym, lobby before school (7:30-7:50) and in the cafeteria during both lunches. Each student must purchase his/her own ticket. The only way you will purchase a ticket for someone else is if they are not a student at VHS. There is a required form that must be filled out prior to purchasing a guest ticket. The form may be picked up in the high school office. (Remember that your date must be at least a junior and cannot be older than 20.)

Prom tickets are $15 for VHS juniors and $25 for dates from other schools.

Senior dues include your prom ticket, but you must sign the list and pick up your prom ticket.

You will vote for Prom King/Queen and Prince/Princess when you get your ticket. Prom Prince/Princess and King/Queen will be announced at 10 p.m. at the prom. Tickets will not be sold at the door. You must have your ticket to be admitted to prom.

This is a formal event and should be reflected as such in behavior and dress. Students will be checked at the door for appropriate attire. If clothing does not meet the dress code, you will not be permitted into the dance.

Men must wear suits or tuxedos. Dress shoes or dress boots only. Inside the dance-only jackets may be removed. Shirts must stay on, buttoned and tucked in.

Only formal dresses will be allowed. No pants or pantsuits. Dresses may not be excessively “low cut” in the front.

Dresses may be two piece, but exposing any part of the midriff is not permitted. Dresses may be backless, but not lower than the waist. Dresses must not be shorter than mid-thigh length and slits must not come above mid-thigh. No see-through mesh is allowed on the bodice of the dress.
