VHS bowlers headed to 5A/4A state tournament Wednesday

The Vilonia High School bowling team traveled to Rogers, Tuesday, Feb. 7,  to compete in the 4A/5A West Conference Tournament. The varsity boys finished 4th scoring 3,218 pins in the tournament, qualifying them for the State Tournament. Dominic Rogers had the highest pin total for the eagles with 577 pins scored in 3 games, followed by Michael Morris with 465 pins.  

 The varsity girls finished 6th scoring 2,524 pins, missing qualifying for the state tournament by 51 pins. Abby Ramsey had the highest pin total in 3 games with scored 417 pins, followed by Xena Brannan with 362 pins scored. Both qualified for the state tournament as individuals.  Abby will compete as the 3rd place qualifier from our conference, while Xena will compete as the first alternate.

 The 5A/4A State Tournament will be held at All-Fam Bowl in Cabot beginning at 11 a.m., Wed., Feb. 15.  Please go and support your Eagles.
