Prom was a magical experience for some VHS students

VHS juniors and seniors strolled down the red carpet, to cameras flashing, Saturday night to attend their Midnight Masquerade Prom.

The event began at 8 p.m. and lasted until about midnight in the high school cafeteria. However, it had been transformed into a ballroom with chandeliers and a dance floor.   At least a dozen teachers were on hand. Some sat on the sidelines observing the event while others stood outside as paparazzi snapping photos.

A prom king and queen, David Andrews and Mandy Moss were crowned. Also, a prince and princess, Matthew Mallott and Megan Atkins were named.
