6th Graders Attend Tech Day at Arch Ford Coop
6th graders attended a special day at Arch Ford Coop in Plumerville last Thursday, December 13th. Along with students from other schools in the area, the students participated in 6 sessions throughout the day facilitated by UCA, Tech, and UALR STEM departments, as well as the Russellville Robotics high school team, and several Coop technology specialists. Students had the opportunity to code their own story using Scratch and Elias Aamold won 2nd place overall in that competition. Students also coded microbits and in a separate session coded Spheros to complete a Fortnite maze. Other opportunities included an augmented reality session, VEX robotics, and IQ robots. Lance McNew and Ridge Sanson won their very own drone as a door prize.
