VHS Cheerleaders voted as All-American Cheerleaders
The Vilonia High School Cheerleaders recently attended the Universal Cheerleaders Association’s camp located at the Hilton Convention Center in Branson, Missouri. Three of the senior varsity squad members were chosen as All-American Cheerleaders. They were Lydia Grace Outlaw (her fourth time to receive this award), Haley Cox, and Amber Sturtz . While at camp the cheerleaders learned cheers, chants, dances, a Rally Routine, and a Game Day Routine. The squad earned all Superior ribbons in performances while at camp. The first night they brought home the banana award for most spirited team. Each night the team won the coveted spirit stick. The last day of competition resulted in the team bringing home a second place trophy in the Game Day Division, a spirit stick, and a first place trophy for the Rally Routine. The team is coached by Lisa Evans. Coach Judy Cox and Coach Morgan Humbard assisted. The team includes: seniors- Heidi Aldridge, Emma Eastham, Madelyn English, Audrey Loyd, Lydia Grace Outlaw, and Amber Sturtz. Juniors- Haley Cox, Madison Herrington, and Alexis Rhodes. Sophomores- Jaden Deloach, Alissa Gordon, Caroline Outlaw, and Mallory Reeves.
