Mission & Vision

  • Core Purpose

Well-nourished students are prepared to succeed. Freshly prepared, nutritious lunches will be provided by our food service department. Our program follows the nutritional requirements of the School Breakfast Program (SBP), National School Lunch Program (NSLP), and the After-School Snack Program (ASSP). Our program meets the nutritional standards set forth by the Arkansas Department of Education Child Nutrition Unit. Meals, foods, and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

The mission of the Vilonia School District Food Service Department is to promote and ensure all students have access to good nutrition by providing quality meals while maintaining the highest level of student satisfaction. Our cafeterias are focused on health, wellness, and good nutrition. We continuously strive to offer a large variety of quality food choices in the cafeteria.

Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand. The Vilonia School District Food Service Department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students access to nutritious meals at school, ensuring their optimal health, well-being, and their ability to learn.
