Vilonia School District Superintendent, Dr. Doug Adams, recently presented at the Arkansas Association of Education Administrators summer conference in Little Rock. His session entitled “Every Problem is a Leadership Problem: Own the Solution or Own the Failure” drew attendees from across the state including assistant principals, principals, superintendents, and various other educational leaders. 

During his presentation, Dr. Adams shared his passion for leadership, discussing how his journey began at the United States Military Academy (West Point) and has been ongoing throughout his career. He emphasized the importance of continuous learning for those aspiring to grow as leaders. Attendees were encouraged to reflect on their own leadership capacity, with the understanding that they cannot lead others beyond their personal limits.

Dr. Adams has served as Vilonia School District Superintendent for five years. Under his leadership, the district has achieved an “A” rating from the Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).  The Vilonia School District is currently ranked as the #6 school district in the state by www.schooldigger.com.
