YEATMAN AND RAPPOLD RECEIVE CHAMBER AWARD
Congratulations to VHS Counselor Julianna Yeatman and VHS Senior Kylie Rappold for their recent honors presented by the Vilonia Chamber of Commerce. Yeatman received the 2026 Outstanding School Employee of the Year award for her dedication to her school and students. Rappold was awarded the 2026 Outstanding Youth of the Year award for her continuous efforts in community volunteerism and success in her academics. We are so proud of these two and how they respresent our district well!

VHS SWIM TEAM CONFERENCE RESULTS
Our high school swim team competed at the 5A Central Conference Championship Meet on February 11, and our swimmers had an outstanding performance. We are proud of all our swimmers for their hard work and dedication! Next up: the 5A State Championship Meet will be on February 28.
Highlights from the conference championship meet:
The Women’s 200 Medley Relay placed 3rd.
Swimmers: Loral Shapter, Evie Thomas, Kiley Christian, and Addie Perkins
Kiley Christian earned 2nd place in the Women’s 50 Free.
Parker Lachowsky placed 3rd in the Men’s 100 Free.
The Women’s 200 Free Relay placed 3rd.

2026 VSD TEACHER OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS
It is time for Vilonia Teacher of the Year nominations! In order to be eligible for the Teacher of the Year, teachers must have completed a minimum of 3 years within the district. Candidates must be skillful and dedicated teachers in grades pre-kindergarten through 12. Librarians and Counselors are also eligible to participate in the ATOY Program. Administrators are not eligible.
We have fantastic educators in our district and we encourage you all to nominate someone you feel deserves this recognition! We will be accepting nominations until March 9th. Click on the link to submit nominations:
