2025 VHS HOMECOMING
This past Friday, VHS held their 2025 Homecoming. The court looked fabulous and the team scored a victory! Then on Saturday, the students danced the night away!

VHS BOYS BOWLING TEAM RECEIVES STATE CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS
The 2025 VHS Boys Bowling Team finished as the 5A State Champions last school year. There were a few teammembers that were able to be present recently when the rings arrived. Congratulations again boys!

SCIENCE REVIEW FUN
Mrs. Reeve's class recently reviewed their science curriculum similar to the game Hedbanz. Students put an animal card on their head and had to make guesses based on the traits their group members named. The students really enjoyed it!

The Vilonia School Board of Education recognized teachers across the district that showed growth in their classrooms in the 2024-2025 school year at this month's meeting. These teachers were awarded merit bonuses from the Department of Elemetary and Secondary Education that totaled $116, 500. Congratulations teachers and thank you for your commitment to our students!
Growth = 57.1%(16 Teachers)
Shortage Areas = 42.9%(12 Teachers)

WORKING TOGETHER FOR WRITING AT FMIS
This week students have been working together to learn about the writing process. They brainstormed on whiteboards what they thought each step of the writing process entailed. Working in groups, they organized their thoughts onto sticky notes and placed them around the room. Each table put the steps in order before using the slideshow to check their work.
