Advanced Placement (AP) classes are college-level courses taught in high school that follow a rigorous, standardized curriculum developed by the College Board. By passing the standardized AP exam (with a 3 or higher) at the end of the year, students can earn college credit and skip introductory courses at many universities.

Vilonia High School Beta has returned from the National Beta Conference with quite a bit of hardware! Our Betas competed against THOUSANDS of other top students from Beta states and ours are bringing home six Top 5 Awards!

*3rd Place in the Nation: Apparel-Kynleigh Bonger, Lauren Smith, Gideon Thacker.

All of our Betas represented VHS and Vilonia incredibly well. VHS Beta appreciates our school district, sponsors, and parents for allowing us this amazing opportunity to grow and compete in this convention.

Three Vilonia High School students will be traveling to Lincoln, Nebraska in July to compete and represent AR in the National High School Rodeo Finals! The State finals were held the last three days in Texarkana. Levi Bailey, junior, won the AHSRA All Around Cowboy, the Rookie of the Year All Around Cowboy, and is the Steer Wrestling Champion. He will also be participating on the AR Knowledge Bowl Team at Nationals. Carson Brock will be a VHS Senior. He is the AR State Trap shooting Champion moving on to compete at Nationals. Kyle Smith, VHS Junior, finished 4th in the State for Trap Shooting, also qualifying for Nationals. He will also be competing on the AR Knowledge Bowl Team. Way to go, Eagles!

VHS is now accepting Senior parking spot applications! Packets are available in the office (office hours are 7:30-4:30). Completed packets should include your payment, vehicle make/model/year, driver's license, proof of insurance, parent signature, and artwork. Once the packet is complete and artwork has been approved, Seniors can pick a spot on Senior row.

Painting days will be released later in the summer.

10th and 11th Grade End of Year Awards Ceremony tomorrow! Students have received an email if they are being recognized.

We are so proud of our Vilonia High Archery Team! They spent this weekend volunteering at Toad Suck Daze. They stepped up as coaches, training festival visitors in the fundamentals of archery and helping them find their mark.
The team also handled the setup and breakdown of the Hoover Ball range, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

ANDREWS AND EASON ATTEND 2026 ARKANSAS GOVERNOR'S SCHOLASTIC HONORS DAY

VHS Seniors, Regan Andrews and Braden Eason, attended the 2026 Arkansas Governor's Scholastic Honors Day at the Governor's Mansion in Little Rock on Saturday, May 2nd.  The Governor’s Scholastic Honors Day recognizes Arkansas’s best and brightest students.  They had the opportunity to enjoy a self-guided tour of the Mansion and its gardens.  A highlight of this special event was meeting Governor Sanders and taking a picture with the Governor and First Gentleman.  Congratulations on this amazing honor, Regan and Braden!
