The Vilonia School Board of Education recognized teachers across the district that showed growth in their classrooms in the 2024-2025 school year at this month's meeting. These teachers were awarded merit bonuses from the Department of Elemetary and Secondary Education that totaled $116, 500. Congratulations teachers and thank you for your commitment to our students!

Shortage Areas = 42.9%(12 Teachers)

We want to notify you that immunizations are due on October 1, 2025. Every student must have a valid immunication record or a letter of exemption from the Arkansas Department of Health on file by the due date. Parents will be notified by the school nurse if your student is out of compliance. Please reach out to your student's school nurse with any questions. Thank you for your cooperation with this important matter.

WORKING TOGETHER FOR WRITING AT FMIS
This week students have been working together to learn about the writing process. They brainstormed on whiteboards what they thought each step of the writing process entailed. Working in groups, they organized their thoughts onto sticky notes and placed them around the room. Each table put the steps in order before using the slideshow to check their work.
