Our halls are officially sweet with creativity! 🍬🏠
Our 7th–8th grade Art students designed and painted the cutest gingerbread houses using cardboard—then took it a step further by creating custom stands to display their festive masterpieces. From colorful icing details to playful patterns, each house has its own personality!
Meanwhile, our Art 1 students went big with a full Gingerbread Village! 🏘️✨ They glued, layered, and constructed cardboard structures to bring an entire village to life, focusing on unity, variety, balance, and craftsmanship.
We are so proud of the imagination, effort, and holiday spirit our artists poured into these projects! 🎄

VES HELD DONUTS WITH DADS LAST WEEK

CLUE IN TO SCHOOL BREAKFAST
National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) celebrates the importance of a nutritious school breakfast in fueling students for success. This special observance during the first week of March celebrates the national School Breakfast Program and the many ways it gives kids a great start every day!
Did you know children who eat breakfast are more likely to…
Reach higher levels of achievement in reading and math
Score higher on standardized tests
Have better concentration and memory
Be more alert and maintain a healthy weight
Have better attendance
Have fewer behavior problems

CELBRATE THIS WEEK FOR READ ACROSS AMERICA
March 2 is Read Across America Day, a day to celebrate our favorite activity. The day was established by the National Education Association (NEA) in 1998 to help get kids excited about reading. The day occurs each year on the birthday of beloved children’s book author Dr. Seuss, so a perfect way to celebrate is to don a Seussian hat and read one his famous tales, like One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. On National Read Across America Day, students, teachers, parents, and community members around the nation come together to read books and celebrate the joy of reading — join us!
