Vilonia Junior High School is preparing to screen eighth grade students for scoliosis and body mass index on April 7 & 8, 2026. Although all screenings are encouraged, this notice is being issued in order for parents and guardians to have the opportunity to opt out of screenings for their student, if they feel the need to do so. A letter was sent home with all eight grade students today so that any parent wishing to opt out can sign and return the objection form. Please return this form no later than April 7, 2026. Students without an objection form will be screened pursuant to Arkansas state law. Please contact the VJHS school nurse with any questions or concerns.

❤️ Art 1 is spreading the love ❤️
We created Keith Haring–inspired love affirmations, using bold lines, bright colors, and powerful words to celebrate self-love, kindness, and confidence.
Each heart is a reminder to be yourself, love fiercely, and stay true to who you are—just the way Haring believed art should speak to everyone.
So proud of these artists and the joy they’ve put into our hallway ✨🎨

“Together We Create Unity”
They just wrapped up a collaborative unity project where students chose their groups and designed individual puzzle pieces that came together to form one powerful, unified image. Each piece was unique, but together they created something stronger and more meaningful—just like a community.
This project, “Together We Create Unity,” was all about teamwork, creativity, and celebrating how differences can come together to make something beautiful. 💛✨
