As we close out the month of April, we are proud to recognize our soaring eagles who have demonstrated the 8 habits through our Leader in Me program in meaningful ways each and every day! 🎉📚 Kindergarten Signing Day for 2026-2027 School Year 📚🎉 Today we officially welcomed some of our newest students to the VPS family! Our future kindergarteners signed their names, met new friends, and took the first exciting step in their school journey. ❤️ We cannot wait to watch these young learners grow, explore, achieve, and make unforgettable memories this coming school year. Today we proudly celebrate National School Nurse Day and recognize our amazing Nurse Ashley! From caring for everyday bumps and scrapes to supporting the overall health and well-being of our students and staff, Nurse Ashley goes above and beyond each and every day. Her compassion, calm presence, and dedication make a difference in ways that often go unseen but are always deeply felt. This year may be her first at VPS, but the impact she has made is lasting. As we celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Week, we want to take a moment to recognize this group of teachers who give so much of themselves every single day. Cathy Cooper Davis author from Greenbrier, AR stopped in to share her book “Pearl Shares Her Sparkle” with Mrs. Garrett’s kindergarten class. Pearl the pig discovers how sharing love and kindness helps cheer up her friends. Mrs. Davis sprinkled sparkles of kindness all around the library, bringing her book to life! 💕🐷💖🎆✨🪩

Today we celebrate National School Bus Driver Appreciation Day! 🚌💛 We are so thankful for all of the incredible bus drivers who safely transport our students each and every day. Your patience, care, and dedication do not go unnoticed—you are often the first smile our students see in the morning and the last one they see in the afternoon. A very special shoutout to our own amazing staff members—Mr. Brewer, Coach Sharp, Mrs. Fullerton, Mrs. Hoofman, and Mrs. Daves. We are beyond grateful for the extra time, energy, and heart you pour into serving our students both in and out of our school. Congratulations to our very own Casey Sims, the 2025–2026 Vilonia Primary Teacher of the Year! She is truly an incredible part of our school family. She pours her whole heart into her students each and every day, always going above and beyond to make sure they feel supported and successful. She has a special way of making every child feel seen, valued, and understood. Her classroom is filled with both love and high expectations, helping her students grow not only academically, but also as confident individuals. She is truly one of a kind, and we are so proud to celebrate her!

🐰🌸 What a hoppin’ good morning at our school! 🌸🐰 Students were greeted with extra smiles today as a very special guest—the Easter Bunny—was on campus bright and early! From opening car doors to waving and welcoming students, the Easter Bunny helped start our day with joy, laughter, and a little extra springtime fun! Thank you to our special visitor for making arrival so memorable for our students and staff. It’s safe to say… this morning was egg-stra special! 🐣💛

📚✨ We’re celebrating a little early, but the appreciation is right on time! ✨📚 Today we’re giving a BIG shoutout to Mrs. Martin, our incredible Library Media Specialist! From creating a warm and welcoming space to sparking a love of reading in our students, she truly makes our library the heart of our school. ❤️ Whether it’s helping students find the perfect book, supporting teachers, or bringing creativity and excitement to every corner of the library—Mrs. Martin does it all with a smile!
