🐛 Saving Fred--Life Preserver Challenge!🛟

Our 4th graders kicked off the week with the ultimate teamwork test: Save Fred!

During the classic "Save Fred" STEM Challenge, students were tasked with helping poor Fred—a gummy worm who capsized his boat (a plastic cup)—put on his life preserver (a gummy lifesaver). The catch? Fred can’t swim, he can't touch the water, and students could ONLY use four paperclips to rescue him without touching the gummies with their hands! 🧠⚡️🌊

📚✨ Book Tasting in 6th Grade! ✨📚 Our sixth graders got a chance to “sample” a variety of book genres during a fun, speed-dating-style Book Tasting! 🍴📖 With tables full of different genres, students rotated from table to table, exploring new titles, discovering different kinds of stories, and deciding which books caught their attention.💭 By the end, students had sampled a little bit of everything and picked out some new favorites to add to their reading lists! 🚗 FMIS Car Rider Arrival & Dismissal – What You Need to Know 🚗

We’re excited to welcome everyone back and want to make sure arrival and dismissal run safely and smoothly! Please review the arrival and dismissal maps and reminders below before the first day of school.

⚠️Please expect delays during the first few days as students and families get back into the routine. Things will move much faster once everyone adjusts.

📢🆔 Car Rider Tags & Codes:
Every student will receive two car tags with a unique 3-digit code on the first day of school. Whoever is picking up your student should have one of these tags displayed on the dashboard or mirror during dismissal. Even if your child rides the bus most days, please keep your tags in a safe, accessible place in case plans change. Check your students Take-Home Folder on Thursday for more information!
